Once I get an iPhone, I'll definitely take a look at "Remember the Milk". For now, I've been using Anxiety, a free client for the Mac. Previously, I had used Ta-Da Lists, since it was online and available from both work and home.

Right now I'm looking at some writing software from Mariner Software, thinking maybe I'll help with writing. They have a whole suite of software aimed at writers (idea fleshing, screen writing, novels, journaling, blogging) which I'm finding very interesting. Might be not only a time saver, but help increase overall productivity.
