Today’s Lesson: Military Spending
Posted on 10 February 2006 by Gnorb || Topic(s): Politics.
While I have no problem spending almost 10 times as much as my closest competitor when it comes to military prowess, it bothers me to think we spend almost $430,000,000,000 on the military per year (as per this year’s $2,200,000,000,000 budget) while at the same time cutting spending on Medicare, MedicAid, and education.
Three cheers for the fiscal conservatives! Too bad they don’t can’t do something important like reversing Roe v. Wade.
