Keep "The best of Gnorb.Net" on the front page. Minimizes clicks.

To be honest, I never used RSS feeds. I suppose I should start, but I'm way too mobile to make that effective. If it was on the front page, I read it.

Absolutely, except I might instead make it a page of its own. (Or should I leave it at the sidebar?) Thoughts?

Also, did anyone read any of the asides (the little posts of maybe one paragraph which didn't go into the RSS)?

On a total tangent (which is why the asides are useful) there's gotta be something said for the fact that as I write this, I'm installing Ubuntu Linux -- on the same system. Running the OS and browser from the CD as the system installs on my hard drives. Makes me feel all 13377y and stuff.

I know you mentioned it, but the best articles list is a must to bring back.
