Al Gore Meets (and Beats) Bender

Posted on 27 June 2006 by Gnorb || Topic(s): Humor, Politics.

The following is an advertisement for Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth. Why am I posting it here? Well, aside from the fact that you should probably go out and watch it, I post it here because it features the best robot ever: the alcohol powered Bender, from Futurama.

No, don’t expect any good animation here. Heck, it was probably done in about 2 days with no help from Korean animators (who are usually responsible for the smooth, flowing motions between frames in cartoons). Still, it’s funny, if only because it has Bender in it. (Besides, Gore’s performances on Futurama and SNL were much funnier.)

Shameless Plug Aimed at People Reading This via RSS
Man, I’ve been WAY too much into the video streams lately. Of course, most of those haven’t made it to the RSS feed. If you want to see what you’re missing, you’ll probably want to jump out of the RSS feeds at least once every couple of days and actually visit the site. Scroll down to the Side Notes section (available as a link from the Pages menu in the side bar at the top of the screen) and check out some of the recent stuff, which I can almost guarantee you’ll love (or hate — I always get the two mixed up).
