Gandhi is good! Read it first, highly recommended. Throughout the days I was reading it, it made me think of my "sins" and how "narrow minded" I sometimes was. It's very motivational :) And Gandhi really was a saint, everything he did and said was just so pure..

OK, OK, go read it! :)

Ah, Dr. Seuss. Yes, I still remember translating some of his stuff to French. "Je suis Sam. Sam je suis. Je mange jambon et oeuves verdes." Something like that, I don't remember most of my French. Anyway, you should probably check out "Un Lun Dun" by China Mieville. Your kids may enjoy that one, and you probably will, too. Like the Harry Potter series, the book is meant for kids, but adults will enjoy it as well.

Sorry to hear about the hate mail. *ich* Luckily I haven't offended anyone enough for that, at least not for me to notice. I guess it goes with my philosophy: when it comes to writing, unless you have a tough enough skin, for the love of God, don't do it. Find something else. This is a situation where "can't stand the heat/get out of the kitchen" is true to the core.

I'm still getting private hate mail from my review of Darla Shine's Happy Housewives. What the?? I swear these "Darla Supporters" have nothing better to do than google the title and see who's currently giving her book some negative press. Seriously, what happened to a review being just a review?

Nice list, BTW. I've not read a single one. We're still stuck on Dr. Seuss in my house.
