Welcome to Gnorb.NET
Topic(s): Gnorb.NET Updates. It’s not every day that a new blog appears on the scene. Of course, if you believe that, please email me for information on a Nigerian bank account I need assistance with.
Seriously speaking, this is really a special occasion. Why? Well, I was recently freed from the bondage of my last job. Now that the chains are off, I can finally dedicate some brain power to something more than the concerns of a guy who goes to Vegas, gambles his… edit: well, I can’t finish out that thought, since I have no hard evidence of what I want to say and have been “politely” threatened to not say it, lest legal retribuiton fall upon me. In retrospect, I realize that I was probably stepping over the line. (But then again, if a manager or employer talks bad to employees about ex-employees, isn’t that also over the line? Isn’t that also an illegal act on the part of the employer or manager?)
Being respected is more important than having riches. To be well thought of is better than silver or gold. (Proverbs 22:1)
With this in mind, please ask yourself the question: do people ever talk good behind your back? Something to ponder, now isn’t it?
(Of course, if you’re an employer, please remember that you can always make up losses by using technicalities to strip away your employees’ paid holidays. That way, if they’re angry and aren’t there, you don’t have to pay them! As for the ones that don’t have enough of a backbone to take the time off, well there’s always the productivity!)
So, what will be on Gnorb.net? Information on stuff that I enjoy. “Wait, so you’re meaning to tell me that you’re so self-important as to believe that I’d want to read about what you like?!”
Well, uhm… yes. And no.
I figure I’m not the only one out there who’s into Open Source news, web design, web development, music, video games, philosophy, anime, theology, crypto-archeology, self improvement, science fiction, overclocking… you get my point. And of course, this will be an evolving work, so feedback will always be appreciated.
As for features of the site, since I just now started it there really aren’t any, other than those which come standard on bBlog.
I suppose it’s time I start exploring this thing and seeing what it can do. For now, remember the following:
Don’t make friends with quick-tempered people or spend time with those who have bad tempers. If you do, you will be like them. Then you will be in real danger. (Proverbs 22:25-26)
