I love how you called it “the thing”. I use “the thing” very often, and not surprisingly, my American friends have gotten used to it

Thank you! And glad you enjoyed it! I was actually wondering whether anyone would actually be able to read this note because of the faded ink. I just got a new ink ribbon today and there’s a world of difference.

Very, very cool. I like how you typed your post on the typewriter and scanned it.
Google will never see it, but hey, who cares. Still very cool!
And by the way, I found the legibility to be fine. The typos and corrections added character.
